About Phil Short
Phil Short is well-known as a rally man with
17 international victories to his credit, as a successful co-driver to
several top drivers and has written a book Rally Co-driving on the
subject. Subsequently, he became a Rally Team Manager at the highest
level with an unprecedented 60 WRC wins to date, has also turned his
hand to Hillclimbing and Sprinting, gaining numerous class wins and
records at the wheel of his modified production Mini. Phil, who lives in
Ilkley, West Yorkshire, is married to Lyn and they have two sons, Simon
and Andrew. Steve Wilkinson was introduced to motor sport as a young
boy by his father, Les. Concentrating on Speed Events from the
mid-1980s, he was invited to write reports and take photographs for the
HSA's Speedscene magazine in 1991. From the mid-1990s Steve covered
Speed Events for Motorsport News and Autosport as a freelance photo
journalist. He was later appointed Press and Media Co-ordinator for the
BMSA in the running of the British Sprint Championship and, in the last
few years, he has become a well-respected commentator at Speed Events
around the country. Steve lives in Southport, Lancashire.
