ABOUT
Researched and written in Japan, here is the definitive history of
the lmpreza including Japanese home- market models_ and all those
sold in major export markets like the USA and UK.
Pictures have been sourced almost exclusively from Subaru and its
concessionaires around the world. Other illustrations are from
contemporary catalogues or advertising, or are of cars
photographed in 100 per cen standard trim at the time of launch?"
An invaluable guide to originality or checking out a grey import,
the research material for this book included every Japanese
brochure and press release, be it issued by FHl or STi.
Any gaps in the information were filled with the full co-operation
of Subaru. Round-by-round coverage of the WRC challenge is
included.
"From my point of view as a rally driver, it is important
not only to have a machine that is entertaining, but is also
capable of winning. For Subaru, merely competing is not enough:
winning is the only goal. As such, the lmpreza receives engine,
chassis and other major revisions on a regular basis to keep it
ahead of the field. This is
my reason for choosing Subaru, and l look forward to
another decade of motorsport with the company."
